Terms of Use
The rules for using Offbook: who can use it, what you may not do, and what Offbook is and isn’t.
1. What Offbook is
Offbook is operated by Offbook Labs Ltd. (Chicago, IL). Offbook is an independent software interface that lets you place orders on Polymarket’s international order book from betting wallets funded through NEAR Intents. Offbook is not operated by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Polymarket, and is not a broker, exchange or bank. Positions you open are held by betting wallets on Polygon, controlled through a vault contract on NEAR whose rules are public.
Offbook is non-custodial by design: its operators cannot move your funds. Your private balance is held in your own NEAR Intents account, controlled by your wallet or passkey.
2. Eligibility
You may use Offbook only if all of the following are true:
- You are at least 18 years old, and of legal age to use prediction markets where you live.
- You are not a US person, and you are not located in, resident in, or a citizen of the United States or any jurisdiction where Polymarket’s international platform restricts trading. Offbook keeps an up-to-date list and blocks those regions.
- You are not subject to sanctions, and you are not acting for anyone who is.
- Using Offbook is lawful where you are.
You confirm your region and age when you create an account, and each time you accept a new version of these Terms. Offbook may refuse or end service to anyone who does not meet these requirements.
3. No circumvention
You must not access or use Offbook from a restricted region, or hide or misrepresent your location, including by using a VPN, proxy, hosting provider, remote desktop or another person’s device or account. You must not provide false information about your age, region or identity. Offbook blocks restricted regions, may block VPN, proxy and hosting networks, and will not help anyone get around regional restrictions. Attempting to do so ends your right to use Offbook.
4. No insider trading or manipulation
You must not use Offbook to trade:
- on material non-public information, including information you owe a duty to keep confidential;
- on events you can influence or whose outcome you can affect, or that people close to you can;
- to manipulate prices, create false volume, or wash trade.
Privacy is provided so that ordinary traders are not tracked and copied. It is not a shield for unlawful trading, and it does not stop Polymarket, resolution sources or authorities from investigating trading activity on their own platforms.
5. What privacy Offbook provides
Offbook is designed to make your bets unlinkable to you, not invisible. Positions are public on Polymarket; deposits and withdrawals are visible on the chains at each end; bets can be identified as Offbook bets through Polymarket’s builder attribution. The Trust model lists every assumption. Offbook does not guarantee any level of privacy.
6. Fees
Offbook may charge fees on your activity, such as a builder fee on matched orders. Every fee is shown before you confirm an action. Polymarket, NEAR Intents and the networks involved charge their own fees. Fee rates may change with notice.
7. Risk
You can lose everything you put into a position. Read the Risk disclosures before using Offbook.
8. No warranty; limitation of liability
Offbook is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Offbook and its contributors are not liable for losses arising from market outcomes, smart contract or infrastructure failures, third-party services (including Polymarket, NEAR Intents, the Chain Signatures network and TEE providers), or your use of the service.
9. Changes and termination
These Terms may change. Material changes require you to accept the new version before placing new bets. You may stop using Offbook at any time and withdraw your private balance.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the British Virgin Islands.
